On December 10, China Construction Industry Association held a commendation meeting for the 2018-2019 Luban Prize (National Quality Project) for scientific and technological innovation in the construction industry at Beijing Conference Center. Bolivia Uyuni 350,000 tons/year KCL Industrial Plant  undertaken by CC6 won China Construction Engineering Luban Prize (Overseas Project). This is the fourth trophy in the past four years.

Project Description

Located at the southern end of Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt lake in Daniele Campos, Bolivia, the project is a leader of Bolivia's national investment strategy and one of the few high-altitude industrial projects in the world. The project, with a total investment of USD $184 million, started construction on September 29, 2015 and was completed and accepted on May 15, 2018. After the completion of the project, the production of potassium chloride in Bolivia ranked ninth in the world and third in South America, which made a solid first step in the industrialization process of Bolivia and establishment of strategic partnership with China . CC6 contracted installation, electrical and instrument work.

Wining the Luban Prize again was CC6’s another significant achievement to implement China's medium and long-term development strategy for chemical engineering, and to strengthen our own “Brand Project” initiative. This fully showed that CC6’s emphasis on overseas projects was constantly improved and the brand influence was greatly enhanced.
