On March 5, CC6 won OBI Nickel-Cobalt Project Nickel Sulfate Unit Phase 1 of 23 million USD through on-line tender.
The project is located in South Hamahera County, North Maluku, Indonesia. It combines the advantages of Indonesia's laterite nickel ore resources with Chinese wet smelting technology to produce cathode materials for new energy automotive batteries. After the project is put into production, it can be the biggest nickel sulfate project with the production of 240,000 tons of nickel-cobalt intermediate products every year.
During the Covid-19 outbreak, CC6 actively balanced the construction work and epidemic prevention, organized on-line tender work beyond the regional isolation. On February 14 we filed in the bid documents, three days later we participated in the bib opening video meeting and clarified our proposal. This project will further consolidate our company's market share in Indonesia and the construction performance in the field of wet smelting.
