In October, all concrete structures at the Kazakhstan EuroChem Project, undertaken by the Second Installation Company of China National Chemical Engineering Sixth Construction Co., Ltd. (CC6), were successfully completed.

The project is located in Zhanatas, Zhambyl Region, Kazakhstan. Upon completion, it is expected to help Kazakhstan transition from the extraction and export of raw resources toward the deep processing of chemical products and higher value-added production. The project will contribute to the upgrading of the local chemical industry, promote regional economic and social development, and provide technical expertise and momentum for the sustainable development of Kazakhstan’s chemical sector. CC6 is responsible for all civil engineering, mechanical installation, electrical and instrumentation, anti-corrosion, and thermal insulation works for the project’s DCP unit.

The latest concrete pour was completed at the 27-meter level of the western frame of the DCP unit. To finish the concrete works before winter, the project team mobilized its civil engineering resources, worked extended hours, and accelerated construction progress. The pour was successfully completed on schedule while maintaining the required quality and safety standards.

With this milestone achieved, all primary concrete structures across the EuroChem Project site have been completed, and the project has fully entered the installation phase. The construction team will make the most of the remaining favorable weather before winter to accelerate installation works and complete the majority of the planned activities, creating favorable conditions for subsequent electrical and instrumentation installation and commissioning.
