On September 8, the shells of two key grinding machines at the KFM Project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), undertaken by the Third Installation Company of China National Chemical Engineering Sixth Construction Co., Ltd. (CC6), were successfully hoisted into position. The equipment consists of a dual-drive semi-autogenous (SAG) mill and a dual-drive overflow ball mill.

The two units are large-scale mining grinding equipment featuring gear-driven transmission systems. Their substantial dimensions and stringent installation accuracy requirements make them critical to ensuring the stable operation of the subsequent production line. Located overseas, the project faces complex site conditions, significant hoisting challenges, and elevated safety risks. To ensure safe, controlled, and efficient operations, the project team refined the specialized hoisting plan in advance, strictly implemented technical briefings and safety protection measures, and coordinated closely with the general contractor and equipment manufacturer to carry out the entire hoisting process in an orderly manner.

Going forward, the project team will continue to consolidate quality achievements and steadily advance equipment assembly, alignment, and subsequent installation work, striving to ensure the high-quality delivery of the project.
