Recently, United Solar’s 100KTPA high-purity polysilicon project, undertaken by China National Chemical Engineering Sixth Construction Co., Ltd. (CC6), has entered a critical phase of installation and construction. The overall progress of the project has reached 75%, which has set a new benchmark for China speed among similar local projects.
Upon completion, the project will become the largest photovoltaic-grade polysilicon production facility in the Middle East, and is expected to drive the formation of a 100 billion-level new energy industry cluster in the region. During the peak construction period, the project directly created more than 3,500 jobs, with 50% of the workforce being locally hired in Oman. This demonstrates the responsibility of Chinese enterprises in contributing to the Belt and Road Initiative.
