Recently, the 40 Million t/a Refining-Chemical Integration Project (Phase I) of Zhejiang Petroleum & Chemical Co., Ltd. was awarded the "Chemical Industry Quality Project". The project is located in the Green Petrochemical Base of Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, with a total investment of about 170 billion yuan. It is one of the major projects in the construction of Zhejiang Pilot Free Trade Zone. The total scale of the project is 40 million t/a of oil refining, 10.4 million t/a of aromatics and 2.8 million t/a of ethylene, which will be constructed in two phases. After the project is put into production, it will be of great significance to adjust the structure of domestic petrochemical industry and refined oil market, produce more chemicals and less oil products, and enhance the guarantee of basic petrochemical raw materials such as aromatic hydrocarbons and olefin.
